Connection to CountryRegular price $182.00
The large U shapes on the corners of the painting represents people, the markings within signify their journey tracks and travel signs in life. The tree represents community, the journeys in which each family and person takes and where they return to each day. The sunset signifies the new day, the new journey, it also represents the central gathering place for family. I wanted this to represent the importance of connection with our community and ourselves, and the link it has with our journey. Journey tracks revolve around the tree signifying endless journeys, this is the path of Aboriginal people and our connection to country. It has always been this way, and it will always be.
