Our sacred waterways are the healing ingredients of all our bush medicine. It is often found in dry and remote areas by the traditional way of using a stick to locate underground water source.

The central circle represents the waterhole of all the layers of water country coming together after the big rains. They are all interconnected like the veins of country which nourish the land, our creatures, animals – and people.

My connection to country

My inspiration

My people are river people, we are spiritually connected to the Dhungala (the Murray River) and the Birrarung (the Yarra River). I grew up around these rivers, I grew up between Cummergunga on Yorta-Yorta country and at the foothills of the Dandenongs at Corranderk on Woiwurrung land. These are the resting places of my ancestors.
