Baan - Water, Blue House

Waa the Crow is the Keeper of Wind and Water. He flies above the calm sacred waterways of the Birrarung, the river of mists and shadows (Yarra River) ensuring all creatures live in harmony with and look after the environment. A family of long neck turtles, a cod and platypus inhabit the waters with respect and compassion. Although these animals have individual personalities and traits, they work together in creating an inclusive, well-balanced and supportive place for all.

A bark canoe sits afloat carved with special markings. The markings represent strength in community and student determination, the canoe is carved from the manna gum tree – this tree reflects the connection of the school on Wurundjeri country.
