I recently spoke to Goya of the Knox News about the converted telegraph pole I painted late last year for the Koolamara Waters habitat corridor in Ferntree Gully, a safe access to the wetlands and bushlands for our endagered species and native wildlife.

Dancing with Creation, Maroondah City Council

'Dancing with Creation' is a Reconciliation project developed by the Maroondah City Council in collaboration with Mullum-Mullum Indigenous Gathering Place, Robert Young, Chris Hume and myself for Ringwood East's Activation Program. In late March 2021, 120 traditional owners from 40 different First People’s groups spent five days at the National First People’s Gathering on Climate Change in Cairns (Australia). Speaking on the impact of the climate crisis on First People, Gavin Singleton from the Yirrganydji traditional owners explained that ‘From changing weather patterns to shifts in natural ecosystems, climate change is a clear and present threat to our people and our culture’.

Koori Support and Cultural Safety at VCAT, Bundoora

I was very lucky to create a lovely big piece for the new VCAT premises in Bundoora recently. My piece now sits in one of the culturally safe Hearing Rooms along with other Aboriginal artifacts. Watch the interview here.

Melbourne's First Nation Art Designed Trams

My mother, Aunty Zeta Thomson, has had her art 'Mookies Around the Waterhole' designed on one of Melbourne's iconic trams. The vinyl wrapped tram can be seen around the city and will be spreading culture for the next twelve months.
